Team White Chocolate News
6/14/10 - TwC Banishes Outkasts, 20-10
In week 5 of TWL-Main, playing against The Outkasts on de_tuscan, Team White Chocolate started strong on ct-side and did not let up at any point during the match. Winning the first few rounds got TwC off to a strong start, although The Outkasts came back and won a couple rounds to make it close early on. After rotating Neil to guard catwalk alongside Mobstah, with Snoop at mid and Centr and Woopsie at B, TwC got into a rhythm and rolled out to a 11-4 lead at halftime. In the second half, TwC continued its strong play, winning the pistol round and the two following round, and eventually won the half 9-6. TwC moves to 3-2 in TWL-Main with the 20-10 win.
6/10/10 - TwC Closes ESEA at 7-9
In Team White Chocolate's final match in ESEA Open Season 6, TwC went up against the strong, 8-7 eyecheat squad. Playing on de_dust2, TwC relied heavily on Neil's poise and aim to carry them to a successful first half on the t-side, as we went into half down only 7-8 against a very tough opponent. In the second half, however, eyecheat started strong and never let up, as they dominated 8 rounds in a row, carrying them to a 16-7 victory in the final match of the regular season. Overall, it was a strong performance by both sides, and a well-played and fun match for everyone involved. Great game to eyecheat and we wish them the best of luck in the CS:S playoffs. It seems for the time being that TwC will be taking a break from ESEA and playing in the more relaxed competitive arenas of TWL.
5/24/10 - Double Win Monday
In a surprising turn-around from the way things have gone recently, Team White Chocolate got their act together on Monday in back-to-back matches. In the first match, TwC went up against the 4-6 Team Mayhem in ESEA on de_tuscan. Starting as ct, TwC got off to a slow start, dropping the pistol round and eventually falling behind 6-4 midway through the first half. After that, behind strong play from everyone on the team, TwC managed to win 5 straight to close out the first half, and then 7 straight to start out the second half, winning the match 16-6. It was the first non-forfeit win for TwC in ESEA. In the second match of the night, TwC took on CARE in TWL Main, and dominated on de_nuke, capturing a 21-9 victory and TwC's first win in TWL Main. TwC moves to 5-6 in ESEA and 1-2 in TWL-M with the wins.
5/5/10 - TwC Falls to AFK, 16-13
In TwC's sixth match in ESEA, we went up against another tough opponent in the 2-3 Afk Gaming squad, who were coming off a 16-5 win the previous day against warfare. On de_russka, we got out to a strong start as t, winning the first few rounds, but then quickly fell behind in the middle of the first half. Playing a bit too scared of the AFK defense, we managed to take only 5 rounds in the half, and went into halftime down 10-5. Knowing we had to have a big ct-side half, we started strong again, eventually tying up the score at 12-12 9 rounds into the second half. Helped by strong play from leif (finished 37-22 on the match) at the A bombsite, TwC managed to take another round, keeping it close until the very end. AFK eventually proved too much to handle, winning the match 16-13 behind a strong A-site attack.
4/24/10 - TwC Welcomes WoopsiE
Team White Chocolate has picked up another great CS:S player. WoopsiE, a former teammate of [P] (now also known as Alien), joins us in the second week of ESEA and for the entirety of TWL Main Season 15. It's great to have him on the team and we look forward to getting to know him better and playing with him more as we move into the future.
4/15/10 - TWL-Main Invitation Arrives
Team White Chocolate has been officially invited into TWL Main for Season 15. Given our impressive performance in the playoffs of Season 14, in which we knocked out the top seed in the Eastern playoffs and then fell in the semifinals, we were practically a shoe-in for Main in Season 15. TWL decided to boost the number of teams in Main by inviting all Open teams that made the playoffs into Main for the upcoming season. TwC looks forward to an awesome season in TWL-Main!
4/7/10 - TwC Welcomes Leif
Another awesome CS:S player has decided to join Team White Chocolate. Leif, a former CAL-Main player in 1.6, started scrimming with the team about a week ago, and quickly became in good favor with all of TwC's current members. He is a chill, skilled, and friendly player who works well with the team and should see some action in our upcoming matches. We're really happy he decided to become a member and welcome him with open arms!
4/5/10 - FeaR Drops TwC in Semis, 16-6
In a rematch between Infallible and Team White Chocolate, two teams that played each other in the final week of TWL and battled to a 16-14 Infallible victory, TwC powered to a strong start on t-side of de_season. Using carefully timed and planned early round strats, Team White Chocolate was able to catch Infallible off-guard and leap out to an early 3-0 lead. After that, Infallible loaded up on weaponry, combining 2-3 awps with a couple m4s, and settled into a very strong ct-side defense. With RANDUMB holding down lower A, LineBarrel not letting anyone through cat, and Jwuuuut awping in mid, TwC floundered again and again while trying to take the A site. Infallible's B-site defense did not budge either, and although TwC came close to winning a number of rounds later in the half, Infallible managed to clutch out every close one, securing the half 12-3. A bit disheartened with the score at halftime, TwC wasn't done fighting, and battled out to a 3-3 tie midway through the 2nd half before Infallible took a fourth round for the 16-6 win. The loss knocks TwC out of the playoffs and sends Infallible to the Open finals where they will fight Look at us, we're crazy in a best of three matchup. It was a great game and we wish Infallible the best of luck in the finals.
4/2/10 - TwC Will Play ESEA-O
Team White Chocolate has officially signed up for ESEA Season 6 Open. It's a pretty serious step for the TwC squad, considering ESEA is a more serious pay-to-play league with a much higher level of competition than some of the other leagues we play in. Everyone on the team, make sure you get rostered up soon.
4/1/10 - 7rigger's Glock Induces Rage
In our final matchup of the XPL regular season, on de_train, our strong start was rather short-lived as our opponents, Prez, quit immediately after the first round. Having recognized us as the semi-finalists of TWL, they were already worried when the match began. Things got worse for them when 7rigger, going against Snoop's request to get himself a deagle, ran straight into mid by himself wielding a glock. Things turned out alright though, as the rest of TwC delayed B, 7rigger utilized five glock bursts to take out the entire Prez team for the ace. Without armor, Prez couldn't stand up to 7rigger's mysteriously newfound one-glocking ability, and they immediately decided to give up the match, leaving together without a "gg". The forfeit win moves us to 4-4 in XPL, not good enough to make the playoffs.
3/29/10 - TwC KOs Top Seeded Unknownz
In the TWL Open quarter-finals, Team White Chocolate went in as a heavy underdog against the top seed in the Eastern Conference, Unknownz. Playing on de_inferno_pro, TwC wasn't ready to go down without a fight, and jumped out to an early lead in the first half playing as t. By gaining control of apartments, holding off a push at banana and eventually squeezing bombsite A, we managed to push out to a 5-0 lead. Unknownz then battled back, winning a couple rounds, but we held our own, occasionally hitting B site while persistently putting pressure on A. Keeping Unknownz off guard the entire half, we pulled out to an 11-4 lead at halftime. CeNTR led the team with a score of 17-8, but he was followed closely by ant (15-6), Snoop (14-8), Astro (12-10), and [P] (11-10). In the second half, although Unknownz managed to take A site first round, two well-placed nades by CeNTR and Astro resulted in a 4-kill nade for Astro. After TwC won the first 3 rounds, Unknownz decided to call it quits, and forfeited the last round by leaving the server. The win puts TwC into the semi-finals where we will play either enmity or Infallible, pending a dispute.
3/28/10 - Three Win Weekend
In a weekend packed with RGA and XPL action for the TwC squad, everything seemed to go right. Beginning with a match against ideal on Saturday, TwC played without Snoop Doog and won a close one, 16-14. Playing on de_inferno, Astro led TwC to a successful 6-9 half as terrrorist with an 18-10 score. In the second half, [P] and 7rigger combined to go 20-positive, leading TwC to a 10-5 half, sealing the victory in the final round with a kill by 7rigger. TwC then played two matches on Sunday, one an XPL makeup match against Latin Warfare, and another an RGA match against TehFinest. Against Latin Warfare, we got off to a slow start on de_nuke, losing a few early rounds as ct. Then, led by a 20-7 first half by +Two, our newest member, TwC managed to get into a groove and storm back to a 10-5 first half victory. In the second half, TwC executed t-side strats perfectly to get the momentum right off the bat, and managed to ride it to a 6-0 half, sealing a 16-5 victory. In our second match of the day against TehFinest on de_inferno, we messed up a few rounds early as t, losing in a couple of easy situations while defending the bombsites, leaving the match even at 3-3 after 6 rounds. After that, we got our act together, and won 9 rounds in a row, winning the half 12-3. On ct-side, we held our own from the start, quickly taking the half 4-1, and the match 16-4. On a side not, we topped off the weekend with a 15-15 tie in a rematch scrim against Infallible (FeaR). Great game to all opponents, and great weekend TwC!
3/26/10 - Danny Rejoins TwC
After a brief absence of a week, Danny has decided to rejoin the TwC squad. We are going to welcome him back with open arms, and we look forward to playing with him going into the future.
3/21/10 - Danny Bids TwC Farewell
Danny, a CS:S player who joined Team White Chocolate a couple months ago and played in a number of matches and scrims with the team, has decided to go his own way and start up a team of his own. While he will remain a friend of TwC and a friend of all of our members, he thought that he would get more out of leading a team of his own than getting into matches occasionally with Team White Chocolate. All of us at TwC wish him well in his future endeavors and hope to see him around in the future. He will always be an honorary White Chocolate alumnus who is welcome to scrim with the team.
3/8/10 - Snoop Loses Cool, 16-14
In a match against a 5-2 Infallible squad on de_dust2 in the final week of the TWL season, TwC started off strong on t-side, winning the first couple rounds. After that, Infallible was able to fight back and keep it about even for the rest of the half, eventually taking an 8-7 lead into half time. One highlight from the first half was when one of Infallible's players took out 3 TwC players in a 1v4 situation, and Snoop awped him through a box while he was defusing. In the second half, TwC got torn up in the first 4 rounds, then had to scramble to regroup. Having won 2 save rounds, TwC was able to push it to 6-7, but then lost another round, losing the half 8-7, and the match 16-14. It was a closely fought match throughout, with a record number of spectators for a TwC match (17 people were watching STV by the end of the match). The loss drops TwC to 5-3, which will still be enough to hold up for a spot in the playoffs, either as the #3 or #4 seed.
3/4/10 - New Feature For Website
The TwC website has been upgraded again! Now you can comment on news articles (like this one), to start a lively discussion and debate about the latest happenings for Team White Chocolate. Happy commenting everyone! Also, you can use comments to this article to suggest future features for the website. Snoop will always be working to keep the website fresh, awesome, up to date, and just increasingly better over time.
3/2/10 - Easy Start to Preseason, 16-6
In a match against PixelFragger in the first week of preseason in the ECO league, PlusTwo saw his first action and made the most of it. On de_cpl_fire, a map that hardly anyone on TwC was familiar with (except Snoop Doog, who is a pro at every map), TwC got off to a strong start as ct, and pushed to a 10-5 lead at half. Although when TwC sat back and defended the sites they were often caught off guard or out of position due to their lack of knowledge, a sequence of B hallways rushes effectively threw PixelFragger off guard and won the half. In the second half, TwC relentlessly pushed bombsite B, and was helped by a crucial 3K by PlusTwo while defending the A site in one round. TwC quickly pushed out to a 6-1 lead in the second half, winning the match 16-6. The win moves TwC to 1-0 in preseason, which doesn't really count for anything.
3/1/10 - Practice Makes Perfect, 19-11
In TwC's first ever match on de_forge_v2, a few practice scrims over the weekend, which Snoop Doog had to post all around the web to find, paid off in a serious way. Going up against a 5-1 team in Team Bhop On in week 7 of TWL, TwC started very strong on ct side. Led by a 26-5 half by Snoop Doog, which included an ace against an A hallways rush, and a 14-9 half by Astro which included a clutch, TwC powered to a 10-5 half. It was clear that TwC's familiarity with the map thanks to the scrims over the weekend gave them an edge in the half. On t-side, TwC fell back on their 'pain train' strategy of splitting and quick rushing B. Although TBO was able to hold their own once they got a pair of very dangerous awps, TwC's ability to crash B bombsite, led by a 21-11 half by Snoop and a 19-10 half and by a 19-10 half by Astro, gave us a 9-6 advantage in the second half and a 19-11 win overall. It was an intense game against a very formidable opponent, who we will most likely play again in the playoffs. The win moves TwC to 5-2 in TWL and puts us in prime position to get a top playoff spot, as we are currently #2 in the league.
3/1/10 - TwC Welcomes PlusTwo
PlusTwo, a counter-strike source player and a good man at heart, as just joined the Team White Chocolate fraternity. Having played with us for over a week, it became clear that Two was cut out for the squad, as he fit in well with our members and worked well with the team. We look forward to seeing him get some action in our future league matches, and welcome him to the team.
2/26/10 - TwC Wins First In XPL, 16-6
In a match on de_cbble in week 3 of XPL Open, TwC got the chance to start as ct on a heavily ct-sided map. Getting off to a strong start in the pistol round, TwC quickly got out to a 8-0 lead, helped out by a 1v3 clutch from Snoop in the third round with an mp5 against unarmored aks in the B site. While .NET was able to take a couple rounds later in the half, strong play by everyone (CeNTR in mid, P in A hallways, ant and 7rig towards B), including a strong 4-kill round by CeNTR with an awp on the rotation to B, and a quick 3 kills with a deagle rushing into B hallways by Snoop during a save round, carried TwC to a 12-3 at half. In the second half, TwC started with a strong delayed B rush in the pistol round that quickly took the site and won the round. TwC was able to use their gun advantage in round 2 to take A site, to take a quick 2-0 lead. While we faltered in round 3, we were able to win a 3rd round when 7rigger got into the bombsite with 3 hp left, as CeNTR took out 2 of the 3 remaining cts to cover him, and 7rigger fought through heavy lag on his connection and a flash that blinded both him and the remaining ct to clutch out the round. TwC was then able to win a 4th round, finishing the second half 4-3 and the match with a 16-6 win. The win moves TwC to 1-2 in XPL.
2/26/10 - Snoop Expands Website
Snoop Doog, the website designer for our site, has just expanded the site to a three column layout, leaving space for updates on our upcoming matches on the left side, as well as links to any sponsors we may pick up in the future. In addition, the site has been moved over to HostGator for our web host, who will provide us with unlimited bandwidth, disk space, and database usage going into the future. If you've got any feedback, please go to the forums section and leave it. Snoop is always working on updating the site, adding new features, and in general improving the TwC online appearance, so any criticism or praise would be very welcome!
2/24/10 - CeNTR Calls The Win, 16-7
In TwC's second meeting with Ice Cold, this time a league match on de_russka, CeNTR got the nod for the calling the strats, alongside a roster of 7rigger, P, Danny, and ant. Starting on t-side, TwC got off to a slow start when a barrage of nades brutally dominated them after they rushed long B through the snow tunnel. This slow start ended quickly, as CeNTR used a split, fake, and go strategy to keep Ice Cold off balance, leading TwC to a 10-5 half-time advantage. On ct-side, Ice Cold tried the same first round strat, and got brutalized as they came into B site due to a quick rotation and accurate usp shooting. Although Ice Cold was able to take a couple rounds, TwC ended the second half with a 6-2 lead, giving us the 16-7 overall victory. The win moves TwC to 2-2 in the RGA Open League.
2/22/10 - Effort Falls Short, 19-11
In a strong effort on de_contra against the number one eastern team in TWL, Unknownz, who came into the match at 5-0, TwC began t-side extremely well by dominating the first few rounds, taking an early 5-0 lead. Led by strong efforts from Snoop, P, and Astro, TwC didn't give up its momentum entirely, and held on to take an 8-7 lead into the second half. In the second half, Unknownz brought renewed vigor to their game, throwing off TwC in the pistol round and getting an easy plant and defense of the bomb to win the round. TwC then kept giving up round after round, whilst they dropped to a 7-1 deficit. It seemed TwC would need a heroic effort to come back, and Snoop felt god's hand controlling his weapon as he almost clutched out a usp ace against a fully equipped Unknownz squad at the B bomb site. In the end, Unknownz proved too much for TwC to handle, finishing out the second half at 12-3. The 19-11 loss drops TwC to 4-2 in TWL, which is still very much in the midst of the playoff race.
2/21/10 - Pain Train Rolls In, 16-0
In our 3rd match against Junk Yard Dawgs, we started as ct on de_contra and had no trouble dominating from the start. Thanks to a 4-kill pistol round from Da Hoon, and a 30-bomb negated by Centr killing Snoop Doog to steal a defuse, TwC ran away with the first half, 15-0. Snoop Doog clutched out a 4-kill round with dualies to start the second half, ending it 16-0. TwC moves to 6-6 in the RGA Ladder with the win.
2/14/10 - TwC squeaks by, 21-15
In a rematch against Team Cialis, a team that we had beaten 16-1 on a previous match on de_cpl_fire, TwC got off to a poor start on ct side of de_inferno. After taking a few rounds early on, TwC let Cialis get into a rhythm of pushing through apartments and mid simultaneously, which led to a 9-6 TwC lead at the half. In the second half, TwC started strong and clutched out a number of rounds, pushing the score to 6-4 in TwC's favor. However, Cialis then quickly adapted, and won 5 rounds in a row, to close out the second half and bring the match into OT at 15-15. In overtime, Snoop Doog subbed in for Mudkipz, and brought TwC's morale back and led the team to an easy 5-0 first half of OT as terrorist. TwC then won the first round of the second half, winning the OT 6-0. The win gets added to TwC's record in the RGA Ladder.
2/10/10 - mGaming owns the night, 16-5
In a match on de_season against the successful Maniac Gaming squad, TwC got off to a decent start as terrorist, taking the score to 4-4 midway through the first half. mGaming then ran away with the half, locking down B with a pair of awps and holding A well, winning the first half 10-5. TwC couldn't get anything going as ct, and quickly lost 6 straight rounds, losing the match 16-5. The loss drops TwC to 0-2 in RGA Open, and pushes mGaming to 2-0.
2/8/10 - TwC comes from behind, 17-13
In a match against a skilled team by the name of Fallen Angels Alliance on de_inferno_pro, TwC started as terrorist and got off to a very slow start. FaA demonstrated their ability to lock down the A bombsite, thwarting TwC's attempts the first couple rounds. However, we then managed to get through at banana, and scraped a few rounds relatively early in the half. After that, FaA locked down their defense and won the rest of the rounds, winning the half 12-3. As demoralizing a half as it was, TwC managed to pick it right up in the second half, dominating the pistol round and never letting up a strong defense of both bombsites. Although FaA took A once and threatened to break our momentum, we managed to get it right back and dominate the rest of the half, winning it 14-1. The 17-13 win moves TwC to 3-1 in TWL Open.
2/2/10 - TwC Falls in OT, 6-4
In a match that was hotly contested from the get-go on de_dust2, TwC got off to a strong start as ct, winning the first 5 rounds. Xphere then stepped their game up, using a combination of pushes at long and short A while an awper held down mid to take 8 of the final 10 rounds. The first half ended with xphere up 8-7. As t, xphere started strong, winning the pistol round easily and then following it up with 2 more rounds, starting the half 3-0. But after TwC got guns, TwC pushed to a 6-5 lead behind a dual awpers picking mid and a strong team effort taking the A bombsite. From there on, it was dead even, with xphere clutching out a 2v2 in the second to last round, and TwC winning the final round of regulation, evening it out at 15-15 for regular time. In OT, xphere started as ct and powered to a strong 3-0 start behind a well set-up A defense. With xphere stepping their game up in OT, TwC managed to take only 1 round in the first half of OT. In the second half of OT, xphere managed to win the first round by taking bombsite A. Then, TwC dug deep, led by Astro, to take 3 straight rounds, giving TwC a shot to take the match to double OT. However, xphere clutched out a 2v2 situation to end the final round, and take the match (15-15) 6-4 over TwC. The loss moves TwC to 0-1 in the RGA Season 1 Open League.
2/1/10 - Win Moves TwC to 2-1
In a battle against Forgotten Shooters on de_season, Team White Chocolate started as terrorist and played an extremely strong first half, winning it 12-3. Powered by a 29-6 half by Snoop Doog, along with a 1v3 deagle clutch by Ace Hune, TwC managed to take the B bombsite with ease, even when fs was playing it with their entire team. fs put up a strong fight in the second half, winning the first 3 rounds, and pushed TwC through 10 rounds before we finally took a 4th round. Final score of the 2nd half was 8-7 fs, leaving TwC with a 19-11 victory. The win pushes TwC to 2-1 in TWL Open.
1/25/10 - FinaO KOs TwC, 19-11
In a match that was closely contested from the get-go, TwC powered to a strong start winning the first 4 rounds as ct on de_train. After that, FinaO ekzpozed got an awp and was almost impossible for TwC to kill, powering FinaO to a 8-7 first half lead. In the second half, we took the pistol round again, but then fell in the 2nd round. After that, we closely contested a number of rounds but could not quite pull them out, eventually ending the match at 16-9. After playing out, the final score was 19-11 in favor of FinaO. It was a close match-up and the demo is available on our match history page.
1/23/10 - Two Loss Thursday, 16-6, 16-13
In two back-to-back matches in the RGA ladder, TwC played well but could not get it done against 5K and Team rioT. In the first match, on dust2, TwC was outmatched from the beginning by a 5K team that had more precise strats and aim. Going down 12-3 at the half, we managed to scrape an additional 3 rounds in the second half, losing 16-6. In the second match on de_cpl_fire against rioT, TwC had a good first half as t going down only 8-7. In a closely contested second half, TwC could not quite pull it out, falling 16-13 overall. TwC falls to 3-6 overall in the RGA Ladder.
1/7/10 - Revenge Taken on Killazs, 16-10
In a rematch with Killazs, a team that had beaten us 16-14 on de_contra a couple weeks ago, TwC got off to a very big lead in the first half on de_inferno thanks to an afk player on the other team. Playing 5v4 for the majority of the first half, TwC coasted to a 12-3 half time lead. Although we struggled early on in the 2nd half, we managed to eek out 4 rounds out of the first 11, taking the match 16-10. TwC was paced by Snoop Doog with scores of 24-4 and 14-8 in the two halves, respectively.
1/4/10 - TwC Dominates A3 Again, 16-2
In TwC's fourth matchup with A3 Gaming, we started strong and did not let up for the entire match. In our first match ever on de_scorch, we pushed hard as terrorist and overcame a mediocre bombsite defense by A3. Paced by Astro (who clutched a 1v3 situation) and Snoop Doog, we won the first half 13-2. In the second half, it did not take long for us to quickly win 3 rounds, ending the match. The match did not affect TwC in the standings because it was the preseason match in TWL Season 14.
12/28/09 - Late Collapse Dooms TwC, 16-14
In a match on de_contra against Killazs, TwC got off to a relatively strong start as terrorist, taking the first half 9-6. TwC was paced by ant, who finished the half with 19 kills and 12 deaths. As ct, TwC started strong by winning the pistol round, but then quickly began giving up rounds as Killazs demonstrated their ability to control the middle with smokes and break into the bomb sites with delayed full team rushes. CeNTR had a strong second half, finishing with 16 kills and 11 deaths, but it wasn't enough, as TwC fell in the last round to lose the match 16-14.
12/22/09 - TwC takes it to team Cialis in first RGA ladder match
In TwC's first match on de_cpl_strike, we started out on ct side and won the first half 14-1. All five members of TwC had ten or more kills in the first half. Ant^ was able to take out several players on several different occasions with both the awp and m4 while Ace Hune picked mid successfully for the first time ever with the awp. Seifer was able to hold down the B bomb site with ease along with the new recruit Doctor. No, who seemed very comfortable in his first match with TwC. Centr also had a good game with solid bomb site defense and good rotations. On Terrorist side, TwC was able to take both bomb sites easily in the first two rounds to end the match 16-1. Seifer showed superb leadership while Snoop Doog was being a social person.
12/15/09 - TwC Defends #4, 16-9
In a throwback match on de_aztec, TwC got to take on the challenge of starting as terrorist. Thanks to a strong half by Arlando, we managed to take 6 out of the 15 rounds, after falling behind early in the half. These six rounds proved to be more than enough, as TwC dominated A3 on the ct side. After a couple close rounds early in the second half, TwC loaded up with sniper rifles and gunned down A3 mercilously, winning 10 rounds in a row and taking the match 16-9. TwC defended the #4 spot on the ladder with the win.
12/6/09 - m6 Punishes TwC, 16-6
In a match where TwC was defending their #2 spot atop the TWL ladder, TwC fell flat from the beginning and was annihilated by a more coordinated and skilled m6 squad. Playing on de_nuke, TwC managed to win just 2 rounds as terrorist, losing the half 13-2. On ct side, TwC got off to a slow start and lost the first two rounds. After that, we managed to win 4 rounds in a row to make it a slightly more respectable 16-6 loss. TwC fell to #3 on the ladder with the loss.
12/2/09 - TwC enters RGA-O
Team White Chocolate will be joining a new league devoted solely to CS:S called the regional gaming association league. It's website is www.rgaleague.com and we look forward to a competitive first season in January! The other good news is that they don't allow bunny hopping in matches.
11/24/09 - TwC Defends #2, 16-6
In a rematch against OldBastardsClan, TwC dominated the first half on de_season, winning 12-3 as ct. Thanks to strong play in the middle by Seifer, and strong overall teamwork and coordination, we managed only to throw away a few rounds. As terrorist, a poor second round led to a few rounds lost pretty early on, but it took us only 7 rounds to win 4, ending the match 16-6. It was a strong performance especially considering that [OBC] has the overall series edge 2-1. With the win, TwC defended the #2 spot on the ladder that had been achieved with a forfeit win the previous week.
11/12/09 - 3OT Loss Puts TwC at #6
In an intense match-up with OldBastardsClan on de_train, we started strong in the first half as t, winning it 9-6. We played well when splitting to A and took a couple rounds going B. Defensively, as ct, we started slow and couldn't really get it going. One round Snoop Doog had an illegal defuse (automatic forfeit of round), and we finished the second half down 6-9, taking it into OT. In the first OT, we started strong winning ct side 2-1. Astros computer then crashed on t side, and we barely won a round 4v5 to take it into a second OT. We started very strong in the 2nd OT, winning 2-1 as ct, and taking the first t round, going up 3-1. We then got two early kills in the next round, but lost the round, and then lost the next, taking the match to a third OT. In the 3rd OT, we started strong again winning ct side 2-1. We couldn't scrape a round as t, though, losing the second half 0-3, and the match 15-15 (3-3) (3-3) (2-4). TwC fell to #6 on the CS:S ladder with the loss.
11/5/09 - EoE Embarrasses TwC 16-7
In a match in which TwC got off to a strong 5-10 start as t on de_inferno, EoE took it right at TwC in the second half, destroying us 6-2 in the first 8 rounds. Aided by a ninja plant in a 1v2 situation in the pistol round, in which a guy planted the bomb in the middle of the site that Snoop was staring at, Eoe won the first 3 rounds and then did not let up. It was an absolutely horrendous showing by a TwC team that had won the previous match against EoE on de_contra. TwC now drops to #4 overall in the ladder with the loss.
11/2/09 - TwC Falls in Week 8, 22-8
In a match that TwC needed to win to make the TWL Season 13 Open Playoffs, we stayed competitive in the 1st half, losing it 5-10 as terrorist on de_season. While we gave up a bunch of rounds that we shouldn't have in the first half, we were still in a competitive position heading into the second half. However, as ct, we just couldn't win any rounds, and lost the first 6 in a row. We scraped a few rounds off of them later in the second half, but the match was already over and our spot in the playoffs had been lost. Team Defined outplayed us on both sides and we wish them the best of luck in the playoffs.
10/31/09 - TwC Gets #3 With FFW
After challenging the #3 team overall in the 5v5 TWL Ladder, we didn't end up getting to play our highly anticipated match with D-Gear, a very successful team in TWL. Instead, D-Gear failed to respond to our challenge, and has since disintegrated and removed themselves from the TWL Ladder. The end result is a forfeit win for TwC, which gives us the #3 spot on the ladder, even though we have only a 6-7 overall record. Pretty soon we will be able to challenge up to the #1 spot.
10/26/09 - TwC Wins Week 7, 22-8
In TwCs second matchup on de_contra, we played well again. Starting as ct, we demolished ATK in the first half, 12-3, thanks to the strong play of Snoop Doog holding them out of the B bomb site. Although we dropped the first few rounds t side due to some miscommunication, we dominated the rest and won the second half 10-5. With a 22-8 win, TwC moves to 4-3 overall in the TWL League, and is in prime position to make a playoff run with a win in the final week next monday.
10/24/09 - TwC Climbs Again, 16-14
In an intense matchup with End of Evolution Gaming on de_contra, TwC got off to a relatively slow start on ct side in the first half. Although we took a few rounds early, we faded towards the end, losing the first half 9-6. A couple rounds to remember were when Snoop Doog went 1v2 and deagled two guys in the face, one of which had an AK and the other of which had an AWP, and when Ace Hune clutched out the final kill and defuse in the final round of the half. In the second half, we took the pistol round but lost the second round, making it a very even beginning to the half. We started pulling away in the middle, but it came down to the wire when we were up 8-5 after 13 rounds. Fortunately, we dug deep and won the final 2 rounds. Everyone had a strong second half as everyone had a score of 10 or higher. TwC moved up to the #8 spot on the ladder with the win.
10/21/09 - TwC Moves Up Ladder, 16-8
In TwC's second matchup with A3 Gaming, we got off to a decent start in the first half, winning it 8-7 as terrorist. We were feeling good having won the first half as t on a ct-sided map, and with an absurd start by e-Seifer in the second half, we won the match overall 16-8. Seifer started the second half 19-1 in the first 4-5 rounds, and was crucial in winning a couple early rounds. The second round, for example, featured 4 kills + a defuse for Seifer, when faced with a 2v4 with the bomb planted. Great job everyone. TwC has now moved up the ladder to the #11 spot!
10/15/09 - oCeans5 Hammers TwC 16-6
In a ladder match on de_train, oCeans5 got off to a fast start and did not relinquish the lead. Winning the first half 12-3, it took them only 7 rounds of the second half to win another 4 rounds, taking the match 16-6. It was a decent effort by TwC as it was the first time the squad had played a match together on de_train, but the team was just outmatched in strats and skill level. Hopefully TwC can learn a lesson or two from this match up and win their league match on de_train to be played next Monday.
10/12/09 - TwC Loses Week 5, 17-13
In a very close match on de_cbble, TwC got off to an awkward start on ct side when Astro lagged out midway through the first round. This allowed OBC to take three rounds early in the half. Although we held our ground after that, winning the first half 11-4, we struggled mightily as terrorist. We had a few opportunities to win rounds but only took advantage of 2 of them, falling 13-2 in the second half. It was a close and exciting game. Hopefully we'll play OBC again in the future. TwC fell to 2-3 in TWL Season 13 with the loss.
10/8/09 - High Timin Rips TwC 16-1
In a match that made TwC look absolutely terrible, High Timin started fast and did not let up. Playing ct side first on de_cbble, they destroyed TwC 15-0 in the first half. TwC managed to take the first round of the second half, but lost the second, ending up with a final score of 16-1.
10/7/09 - TwC Wins Week 4, 27-3
In a match that was unfortunately played 5v4 for 90% of the time, TwC took an early lead and never relinquished it. Playing on de_nuke, TwC took the first half 12-3 on terrorist side, and quickly won the first four rounds of ct side. OTB then quit, forfeiting the remaining rounds, for a final score of 27-3. TwC is now 2-2 in the TWL league after four weeks.
9/28/09 - TwC Falls to 1-2 in Week 3
In an intense match on de_russka, TwC started off well against the Old Bastards Clan, but quickly lost steam and fell behind at half, 9-6. We then quickly won the first 3 rounds of the half, and again lost steam after the first few rounds, losing the match 18-12. It was a poor 3rd week in the season for TwC, and at 1-2, we will need to pick it up in order to make a run to the playoffs.
9/21/09 - XPS KOs TwC in Week 2
In a complete mismatch of talent, coordination, and overall CS:S ability, XPS dominated TwC from the get go on de_dust2. Winning the first half 13-2, XPS did not have much to worry about in the second half, which they won 15-0. It was hard to be too disappointed though, because XPS is currently 5-0 in the ECO League and was completely out of the skill range for TwC. We wish them the best of luck in their endeavors.
9/15/09 - First Week Victory in OT
In the first week of the TWL Season 13, TwC fought back from a huge deficit to take the match against #Infallible. Playing on de_inferno, TwC struggled to win rounds in the first half as terrorist, falling behind 11-4 at the half. After barely losing the first round ct side, TwC dropped the next two rounds making it 3-0 #Infallible in the second half. This put us down 14-4, but we were not done fighting. With money to buy better weapons, we stepped up and won 11 of the last 12 rounds, tying the game at 15. In OT, we managed to take 1 of 3 rounds as terrorist, and then followed it up by taking all 3 as ct. It was a great game and a great start to the season.
9/10/09 - Another OGL no show
TwC has had it with the OGL CS:S 4v4 ladder. After repeated no shows by opposing teams, TwC has elected to leave the OGL until further notice. This time it was Cold Serenity, a team that had been active in the ladder in prior weeks and was the challenging team in the matchup, that did not show up. Shame on them.
9/9/09 - Xombra dominates TwC
In a match that could have put TwC in the top 6 teams in TWL, Millenium Xombra got off to a fast start and never let up. Utilizing a storm of flashbangs and excellent coordination, Xombra won the first half on de_inferno_pro 14-1. Although TwC fought back and captured a few rounds at the start of the 2nd half (one round even featured an ace by Snoop Doog), Xombra continued to dominate and won the second half 8-7, completing a 22-8 domination of TwC.
9/2/09 - Forfeit win over MIA World
After a week of negotiations about the time, location, and map for the match against MIA World, TwC got 4 players ready to go for apparently no reason. MIA was a no-show, giving TwC yet another OGL forfeit win. Team White Chocolate is now fed up with OGL, and will be requesting rest from the ladder.
9/2/09 - First TWL Win For TwC
In dominating fashion, TwC took it to A3 Gaming on de_inferno, 16-7. Although TwC had a rocky beginning to the match, losing the first round after a 3v1 battle against their last man, the team recovered quickly and outmatched A3 in the later part of the first half. Going into the second half ahead 9-6, TwC laid the hammer down and won 7 out of the first 8 rounds as terrorists.
8/28/09 - TwC Enters TWL Season 13
It is now official--TwC will be playing in TWL Season 13. TwC clan leaders and members decided that playing in the season format in a legitimate league would be a large step forward for the clan. We look forwards to the preseason coming up soon!
8/26/09 - Core takes out TwC, 16-8
In a decisive victory, Core took it right at TwC from the start of this match on de_contra. Core charged out to a early lead, taking the first half 12-3. After a preposterous first round in which CeNTR killed the last two cts while having only 3 hp left, TwC fell in the second half, giving up 4 rounds after having won only 5. TwC's lack of experience and communication really showed through this match, and Core took advantage, winning it 16-8.
8/21/09 - TwC knocks out JYD 16-2
In TwC's first ever match on de_losttemple_pro, we took it right to Junk Yard Dawgs from the beginning and did not let up. We took the first half 13-2, in which Arlando led the way with 30 points, and then won the first 3 rounds of the second half, winning the match 16-2. It was a hard fought game and we look forward to playing JYD again in the future.
8/16/09 - Ace Hune Joins TwC
Another recruit has joined the TwC squad. Ace Hune proved his worth in a scrimmage on de_dust2, and will now be seeing some match experience for the first time in his CS:S career.
8/12/09 - TwC Takes Out xPlicit, 16-11
In a hard fought match, Team White Chocolate defended the #6 spot on OGL and defeated xPlicit Gaming, 16-11. After a terrible start ct side on de_dust2, TwC finished the first half only down 5-10. After one player on xPlicit lagged out in the second half, TwC took 10 straight rounds to win the match.
8/5/09 - TwC Forfeits To Hudlumz
Due to Snoop Doog's failure to check OGL enough while on vacation, TwC forfeited its #2 spot on the OGL CSS 4v4 ladder to Hudlumz. TwC is now ranked #6, and will have to win some more matches to regain its rightful spot at the top of the league.
7/28/09 - TwC Falls to Team Bc, 16-12
In another close match with Team Bc, Team White Chocolate started off well on de_cbble with a 9-6 first half lead. However, Team Bc took control as ct, and won many rounds in a row to take the win, 16-12. It was a valiant effort, but TwC came up short and gave up its #1 spot in OGL.
7/23/09 - TwC gets forfeit win in TWL
After waiting a week eagerly anticipating our TWL match against xplicit gaming, we waited around in the server for twenty five minutes without the other team showing up. Although we advanced a few spots up the ladder, it is was a bitter night for TwC, as our appetites for glory had to go unfed.
7/20/09 - Two recruits join TwC
TwC would like to welcome Mister grumpy-pants and Platinum to our clan. Although they have not yet seen live action in a match, they will undoubtedly be valuable additions to the team. It should also be noted that one time clan member Nangel is now back on the team.
7/17/09 - TwC gets *pooped on* in first TWL match, 16-4
Team White Chocolate was completely outmatched in our first real TWL 5v5 match by our opponents, < than. They took it to us from the start on de_train, winning the first half 13-3. The main highlight of the match was the strong play of WolfGangstapus, who played a key role in winning the 3 rounds.
7/9/09 - Second straight 16-14 victory maintains position in 1st place
Team White Chocolate maintained its position at the top of the OGL CS:S 4v4 ladder with a victory over Team Bc. It was close from the get go on de_inferno, as TwC took the first half 8-7 as terrorists. It was looking grim when we went down 6-3 ct side, but a strong finish gave us an 8-7 advantage in the second half, and the win overall.
7/4/09 - TwC advances to 1st place in OGL
With a forfeit win over Hudlumz, Team White Chocolate advanced to the top spot on the OGL CS:S 4v4 ladder.
6/20/09 - TwC stands strong with its first win
Team White Chocolate won a nail-biter against GR Bravo, 16-14. After starting off strong terrorist side on de_prodigy, TwC stalled and took only a 9-6 lead going into the half. While we weren't feeling too great when GR Bravo was then up 5-2 ct side, some clutch play by Snoop Doog and Eighteen Zulu gave us a 7-8 second half, and the win overall.
6/14/09 - Back together for the summer
Team White Chocolate is back together and has re-entered competition in OGL. TwC is currently competing on the OGL CS:S 4v4 ladder.
